How it began
From the Hills of Gold Country
It started with a problem I couldn't solve at the drugstore. Dry, reactive skin that no commercial lotion could calm — no matter how many "natural" labels I read. So I went back to basics. Way back.
I discovered beef tallow — the same fat our great-grandmothers used on their skin — and something clicked. My skin recognized it, Calmed down, and started glowing.
I started making small batches in my kitchen, then my farmstead, refining the formula until every jar felt like a gift. That's how Moonlight Kiss was born: out of necessity, curiosity, and a deep love for the land we live on.

Our tallow comes exclusively from cattle raised on open California pastures — no feedlots, no shortcuts. The quality of the animal's life is reflected in every jar.

We never scale beyond what we can make with care. Every batch is mixed, poured, and inspected by hand. You'll never get a jar that was rushed.

We start with suet from local, grass-fed cattle — rendered low and slow to preserve every fat-soluble vitamin.
Blend
Beeswax and arrowroot are added for texture, then frankincense and lavender essential oils are folded in by hand.
Pour
Each batch is poured into amber glass jars while still warm, then cooled slowly to set a smooth, creamy finish.
Inspect
Every jar is checked by hand before it ships. If it's not perfect, it doesn't leave our farmstead.
